Happy Mother's Day

I posted pictures of peonies on Instagram recently, noting that they had bloomed early this year. It seems as if everything is blooming early, as I almost missed the Japanese Iris blooms. May is such a crazy month, it has been hard to slow down and notice the beauty in my own backyard.
This weekend so far has been fairly low key - perfect for Mother's Day. And I wish all my friends, sisters and my own mom a happy Mother's Day.
