Animals At The Barn
Ever since we moved to the new stable, the visits out to see Caesar have increased - last week, we were out there four days and it would have been five days had there not been a sporting event conflict. I'll be honest, after a long week at work, I don't really want to drive 25 minutes, spend two to three hours there and drive back. I am actually looking forward to my daughter getting her license so I won't be playing the role of taxi driver. Of course, then I'll have other worries!
Last Friday, however, I realized that days like these are fleeting and will soon pass. So instead of taking a nap in the car, I decided to seek out my daughter in action.
Seriously, that barn cat cracks me up. He's always in the center of the action.
I wonder what they decided to look at.
Oh, they're looking at me, giving me the "why do you continue to take photos of us?" look.
And right after I snapped that photo, the barn dog showed up.
Ahh. Three species all getting along nicely in this world. That's a great photo.
Oh my goodness, we are two of a kind we are:) Lovely barn photos:)
this gives me chills. I know exactly what it means to realize how time is passing so quickly. I too only have a few short years left of my daughter being home (we both have freshman daughters?) and this is such a tender time...these images are a beautiful tribute to who she is as a young woman and who you are as a mother to see her in this light. sniff sniff.
Love them all but especially the one where they are all looking at you and your comment - :)
On my bucket list has been the notation, "Own a horse". Now I think just photographing them will have to do. We have a farm with 16 boarded horses at the end of my street. I love to watch them from my office in the morning. These shots are great! I enjoyed your self portraits too.
