I'm In the Picture - February Selfies

Lots of "stuff" happened in February.

I uploaded pictures. The act is not so interesting, but the significance of this photo is that I used a self timer for the first time. The iPhone doesn't come with one, but many camera apps do - I used the Camera+ app here.

I got a haircut. I generally get my hair cut once or twice a year, so this qualifies as something different.

The woman who cuts my hair does such a great job that as my hair grows out, it still looks great. Hence, the once or twice a year cut.

I had my ACL in my left knee reconstructed. Three days after that surgery, I am doing my leg lift exercises to restrengthen my leg. Easy, no... painful at times, yes.... but in the end I'll be able to run again, so it is all worth it.

And less than a week after my surgery - I am able to drive! I am amazed by how fast the body heals.

So that's February's collection of selfies. Hopefully, as my mobility improves, I'll be able to shoot some more "creative" selfies. And it's never too late to join in. See the button below for more details!

  1. These are wonderful! Your hair is gorgeous. I can see why you get by with only cutting a few times a year.

  7. wow. you have had a busy month! i have not had a haircut for such a long time. but i love when i find someone who can cut my hair the way you described... who does such a good job, that i don't have to go back often. cute cut! glad to read the knee is healing. my husband had surgery on his knee after a car accident, and it took months before he was even able to walk. glad that's not the case for you!

  10. You are stronger than you think sums up your month of healing well, Shirley. Your haircut is elegant and I especially like this moody monochrome selfie. (I started a Flickr account for this theme because it's more trouble to get into Blogger through the anonymous proxy I need to use to get to social media sites from China. Sigh.)

  11. Great cut! I agree that at good cut can last a long time. It's nice to have someone you can trust with your hair too! Glad the leg is healing quickly so you are not house bound.
