Like A Crimson Rain
Most of the trees have shed their leaves now and the last three days have been cloudy, windy and downright gloomy. There's a dampness in the air that almost smells like that "s" word. You know, "snow". Fortunately, it's physically too warm for snow right now. But I can tell that white stuff is just around the corner....
Even with the gloom, I was able to find pretty crimson leaves, still holding on to the dogwood tree.
I added Kim Klassen's Pheobe texture, in the soft light blending mode.
Glorious colors!!!
Your weather sounds like ours...and yes, it does have that snow smell, whatever that is. Actually, we are supposed to have a warm Thanksgiving weekend. I'm all for that. Enjoyed looking at your beautiful photos here. We used to be cat people...a much loved tabby like yours and a snowshoe siamese. Some how we have switched over to dogs, but I miss the quiet companionship of cats.
Red leaves are my favorite! Such a beautiful shot. We had more brown leaves than pretty colors here this year. I love fall colors! :)
Beautiful shot. I like the texture you used as well... really adds to the photo.
This is so beautiful and the light is really pretty. The texture looks fabulous too! It looks like you masked it off the leaves which really makes them stand out. I haven't thought about masking off of things like this before (just people) but I will give it a try.
The rain is fiery hot!
amazing colors; thank you so much. kareninkenai (TT)
