Some Negative Space

I've been playing around with the concept of Negative Space in my photos. Negative Space is defined as the area of an image not occupied by shapes or forms, usually empty.

While maybe not 100% devoid of shapes or forms, here are two shots I purposely shot with Negative Space in mind.

    I didn't know what it was called, but I love it. Both of your shots are beautiful. It just gives a wonderful canvas for the focus of the picture. Hope you have a good weekend.

    These are beautiful as always! I love the softness of the background in the flower shot. You created the negative space by having the shallow DOF.
