I originally took these pictures with the intent to join in on Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday. This week's challenge - take a picture of your tea or coffee cup and add on some of her lovely textures.
Well, these don't have any textures and since it's Thursday, I am certainly late for anything with a "Tuesday" in it!
A pair of Japanese teacups, a wedding gift. The set includes a "Groom's Cup" and a "Bride's Cup". The Bride's Cup above, is smaller with a pink stem.
The Groom's Cup - you guessed it, blue stem.
The pictures just didn't look "right" with the textures on them (as beautiful as Kim's textures are). So they are simply unadorned today.
And after I came up with today's blog post title, I decided to look up the origin of the saying, "Spot of Tea", because I was curious and blogging is meant to be educational (right?). I guess the word "spot" refers to a small amount. So we're talking about a small amount of tea. Which is fitting for these pictures, since they contained zero tea.
Heck, even though I'm two days late a several textures short, I'm sill going to link up to Kim's Challenge. I feel like a rebel. (I just hope I don't get banned!)
oh my... how very very pretty....
ReplyDeletethank you for linking up to Texture Tuesday... xxo, kim
These are beautiful... and sometimes it's just best to leave things along in their own beauty!
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful. Love all the detail as well.
