Snippets of Italy

That's where I've been the past week - traveling and enjoying North Central Italy. I have over 500 pictures to sort through, and since our days were chock full of activity I didn't have any time during our trip to weed through the pictures.

So just a tiny sampling of the sights we experienced:
Olive Tree
Olive Tree Branches

Vernazza Marina
The Vernazza Marina - one of the delightful villages of the Cinque Terre

The Wines of Cesani
Wine Tasting in Tuscany

The Hills of Tuscany
And the Hills of Tuscany

Our trip also included a visit to the ski town of Sestola, nestled in the hills of Emilia-Romagna Region, and Modena, where balsamic vinegar is made. We spent three days in the Cinque Terre before driving through the Hills of Tuscany and visiting the walled cities of San Gimignano, Sienna, Pienza and Montepulciano. We finished our trip in the city of Florence. A whirlwind seven day visit.

And so I will be working through the photos over the next week (I'm hoping to get it all done in a week, LOL!) and sharing as I go along.

And I highly recommend Italy to anyone wishing to visit - seven days was not enough - heck, I don't even think two weeks could do it justice! Oh well, just an excuse to go back next year!
