Team Up Thursday - Catching Up
Because of my recent travels, I am a little behind on Team Up Thursday. I actually got last week's diptych prepared on Wednesday while I was waiting for one of my flights. Lee e-mailed me her picture, I downloaded it to my iPhone's picture folder and I downloaded to my laptop. I thought I would be able to upload the completed diptych from my laptop back to my iPhone, but apparently, that doesn't work. Maybe if I had iTunes installed on my laptop I could get it to work. Oh well.
So, here is last week's diptych - Outdoor Textures:
Lee's shallow DOF really showcases the detail of the slate on top. I chose my subject because I saw three very different textures - the pebbly rocks, the needle-like foliage at the base of the plant and the long, smooth fronds.
For this week, I chose the theme of "Entrances".
Lee's picture is on the right - the entrance to her own home - I am jealous! I chose the entrance to my sister's back patio, right off the kitchen. I guess it is typical in London to have a grass free back yard, because of space and maintenance.
So we are back to a normal schedule now, so join us every Thursday as I team up with my friend, Lee.
You can view the other great diptychs at the Team Up Thursday Flickr group.
