It's barely mid June, a week from the official start of summer, and it seems as if the dog days of summer have been here for a month. The corn is already 2 feet tall and growing so fast you can almost see it get taller before your eyes.
The prairie grasses are also tall, swaying in the wind. I'm sure within the week, the mowers will have chopped all of it down. But I'll be able to enjoy the delicate stalks forever.
I just love this photo. I'd frame this one and hang it on the wall. ;)
