A follow up to yesterday's Sunrise Barometer picture.
After catching a glimpse of the impending sunrise, I went outside and briskly walked to the outer edge of the subdivision (I knew I didn't have much time), where the main road and cornfields provide a less obstructed view of the magenta tinged sky.
I didn't walk fast enough, because this was taken about 10 yards from the main road, and I could tell by the light that the sun had already peeked out.
