We set out today on our annual trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH. This marks our third trip there as a family.
Scott is driving and Magnum, the bear, makes sure everyone stays in line. Scott won Magnum back in 1990 during our first trip to Cedar Point, a time we were working in Cleveland, just out of college. Magnum is named after the Magnum XL200 Coaster which celebrates 20 years this year [making us feel even older].
A six hour trip means I have lots of time to play with my camera. Until I realized I left the user manual at home. Oh well. I finished two books instead.
We arrive in time to enter the park during their Twilight hours (5pm-closing) and whet our thrill ride appetite with some of the less popular roller coaster rides. Brian isn't the thrill junkie that Erica is, but this year we got him on the Corkscrew and the Millennium Force. We think he is converted now.
We stayed until the park closed at 10pm. We'll be back in the morning bright and early at 9am.
