Running low on several household items, I ventured to the local Wal-Mart, armed with a list of necessities. So let me ask you - how did I spend more than $100?
I feel somewhat better that I did save some money by purchasing the generic brand of some OTCs:
And I didn't waste my money on that "reformulated" allergy / cold medicine with phenylephrine (often indicated by 'PE' on the packaging). I waited at the pharmacy window, gave them my driver's license so they could verify I wasn't a meth dealer. Very much worth the time and inconvenience to get my generic pseudo ephedrine - the real stuff!
[the significance of the Corona bottle cap? None - my DH had just opened up a bottle and stuck it in the picture - a completely random act]
Good slant on this, Shirley. Generic drugs have really saved us this year...they are LIGHTYEARS cheaper.
ReplyDeleteRight on theme! I always buy the generic childrens ibuprofen. It's like 1/3 the cost.
ReplyDeleteI buy a lot of generic items. I thought the Corona was one of the "running low on household items" items. ;) lol!
ReplyDeleteI laughed at your little Corona cap...he/he. I use generics too.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the "saving" theme! I use ghe generic's as well!
