The temperature when I got home this afternoon. We keep the heat turned down in the winter, especially at night. During the day, the heat gets set to 68 degF, which can still feel cool. So we have to wear a sweater or extra layer. Better than a $500 gas/electric bill (we topped out this winter at $450 - December into January when we were home during the Holidays - OUCH!)

Love how that texture makes the ordinary look extraordinary! We too keep our heat turned down (65 when we're home) to try and keep the bills down as well. 60 when we're asleep. I'd faint if we had a $500 gas bill!
ReplyDeleteI have had a combined gas/electric bill of $600+ in the summer more than once! Great take on the theme.
ReplyDeleteI love the texture! We have pretty mild winters and it doesn't get below 50 so we run the heat when the house gets to 65. I'm usually freezing by then. :)
ReplyDeleteWe do the same thing! I love the texture. Fuel is SO expensive. This week has been kind of warm so I have actually turned it completely off during the day, and then turn it back on at night.
ReplyDeleteShirley, the pp on this really gives the shot that "something extra" and pops it. I hear you about the heat bills....but I'd croak at one of $500!!
ReplyDeleteI keep my heat really low (and off as much as I can) too. You really do get used to it--of course my guests freeze their tushies off. :-D
ReplyDeleteI love the way you composed this and used the texture on it.
